Sunset Beach

    Sunset Beach1

    Sunset Beach2

    Sunset Beach3

Taken on Sunset Beach, Haleiwa, Oahu, Hawaii 2-1-11

Accurately named "Sunset Beach", it is mixture of energy and serenity.  The roar of the undulating sea, the taste and smell of the salty spray cast into the air, softening the glow of the receding day. With warm sand between the toes, all senses tantalized yet all voices silenced.

The Falls

The Falls

Taken at Bond Falls State Park, Upper Peninsula, MI on 8-8-09

Water rushing down the hill, an energenic flow mesmerising us in both sight and sound, and yet serene and peaceful.

How can it be both?

The Bee

The Bee

Taken off Cisco Lake, Upper Peninsula, Michigan 8-9-09

So industrious, so much focus, the bee does not care about the monstrous lens focused on it.  It has a job to to and it does it.  Imagine what we could accomplish if we had the focus of a bee.

Though... does a bee "stop and smell the roses"?

Spring Colors

Spring Colors

Taken on Whitnall Park Drive, Hales Corners, Wisconsin, outside of Boerner Botanical Gardens on 5-1-2010 .

Why does spring invoke so many smiles and emotions?

Is it that sense of renewal,..... where we can modify, adjust, or re-do our missteps of the past?
Or is it that our senses have been dulled by winter that we cannot help to but be overwhelmed?
